Before providing pet care services I worked in Human Resources as a Department of the Army civilian for 6 years and served 10 years in the US Army Reserves, with a tour in Afghanistan. After leaving the Army I explored different careers and became a Licensed Massage Therapist and started on the path to becoming a Small Animal Massage Therapist (SAMT) which has been put on hold after the pandemic put a few obstacles in the way. I still have becoming a SAMT as a future goal. For now I am enjoying gaining experience working with many different breeds and their unique personalities.
Volunteer work has included being a Thurston County Emergency Medical Technician, Legal Advocate for SafePlace Olympia, as well as volunteering at the Thurston County Animal Shelter and helping at an Elephant Sanctuary on a class trip to Thailand. My family has lived in Mason County for generations and I am so grateful to call Lake Cushman my home. I am outdoorsy and adventurous; I love to go on hikes, camp, travel, garden, forage, craft, read, listen to meaningful music, and most of all spend time with my family, friends and all our furry companions. |
